Snag Reservations (“Snag”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information when you use the Snag mobile application and related services (the “Service”).
Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we may collect: email address, first and last name, phone number, and authentication identifiers provided by our authentication provider. This information is used to create and manage your account and communicate with you.
Reservation Requests and Preferences
When using the Service, we collect information necessary to attempt reservations on your behalf, including restaurant names, desired reservation times and dates, party size, dining preferences, waitlist monitoring requests, and messages or clarification prompts related to reservation requests. This information allows us to process and manage reservation attempts.
Reservation Activity Data
We may store information about reservation activity, including reservation requests submitted through the app, reservation outcomes, and availability observations used to improve the service. This information helps improve the reliability and performance of the Service.
Notifications and Device Information
To provide notifications and service functionality, we may collect push notification tokens, device identifiers used for platform sessions, and temporary phone numbers used for verification messages.
Third-Party Reservation Platforms
Snag allows users to connect accounts from third-party reservation platforms (such as restaurant reservation services) so that the app can attempt reservations on the user’s behalf. Snag does not store user passwords for these services. Authentication is handled through platform sessions or temporary tokens used only to perform requested reservation actions.
Payment Information
Snag may offer in-app purchases such as reservation credits or subscriptions. Payments are processed by Apple’s App Store payment system, and Snag does not receive or store full payment card information.
How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to provide and operate the Service, process reservation requests, send notifications about reservation activity, improve the performance and reliability of the app, and communicate with users regarding their accounts.
Data Retention
We retain user data for as long as necessary to provide the Service and operate user accounts. Certain temporary technical data (such as session tokens) may be stored temporarily and automatically expire after a short period. Users may request deletion of their account and associated data at any time.
Data Security
We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect user data. Sensitive authentication tokens used for third-party services are encrypted when stored. However, no system can guarantee complete security.
Third-Party Service Providers
We may share limited data with service providers that help operate the Service, including authentication providers, messaging and SMS services, infrastructure and hosting providers, and reservation platforms connected by the user. These providers only receive information necessary to perform their services.
Children’s Privacy
Snag is not intended for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted within the app or on our website with a revised effective date.
